It's time to get ready for the National Collegiate Conference which will be held in Texas on March 30th-April 1st. AITP will be having an informal meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 from 6:30-7:30 pm in ZSH 102 to answer any questions and discuss details of the conference and the trip. If you can't make the meeting and are really interested you can send Erin Vaughan an e-mail at vaughaeb@jmu.edu or visit Dr. Dillon in Showker 317.

AITP will be meeting on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 5 pm in ZSH G3. We will listen to the guest speaker from IBM talk about consulting and other related topics and directly afterwards we will be discussing the AITP National Conference, which takes place March 30-April 1 in Houston, TX. AITP's next meeting will be Wednesday, December 7th, at 7:00pm in ZSh 104. Delena Bratton of Fast Enterprises will be coming to speak a little about her current company and her time as Vice President of a Fortune 500 company. We will have pizza there and it should be a interesting session. We hope to see you all there!

Meeting minutes from yesterday's meeting will be posted soon. Thanks to everyone who came out! If you filled out an application but did not have your dues, you can drop them off at Dr. Dillon's office in Showker 317.
Also, incase you missed the meeting, a student will soon be selected for a free trip to Las Vegas to help represent JMU at the ITERA ( International Telecommunications Education Research Association )/USTA ( United States Telecom Association ) joint conference on October 22-25, 2005. Free registration for the conference will also be provided and the main requirement is that the student must either currently be in CIS 320 or have taken it previously. On Saturday, March 19, 2005, High Performance Technology Inc. (HPTI) sponsored the second annual programming competition. Twelve teams of students competed against each other and the clock to complete as many programs as possible out of the eight given. In first place were our very own Greg Kruck and Jon Albert, as well as Steve Macchio in third place. Congratulations to the winners and all those that came out to represent AITP!
